War on the Future
Little evidence exists in regards to how the War on the Future began (or that the War itself exists currently) but it is often speculated that the War on the Future was initiated when an individual known only as Notspock (a member of the Monkeytronic Circus of Conquest) utilized a time machine to send a flaming bag of dog feces into the future where it was unwittingly stamped out by a member of the Future. The only evidence currently in existence was found in an online chat transcript (see sources below) in which Notspock stated, "Still, I'm gonna build a time machine just so I can send a flaming bag of dog poo to the future ... as a sign that it is ON! ... We will prove that we are superior to the stupid FUTURE. [sic]"
The War's Cultural Influence
A frequent battle cry in the War on the future is "The Future is Stupid" as evidenced in the work of psychics Jenny Holzer and Friedrich Nietzsche. Although first uttered by a small octopus some time in 2004, the phrase was found to have been earlier said by psychic Jenny Holzer upon realizing that what she was seeing in the future as "The Future is Stupid" would in fact be the catalyst for the beginning of the War on the Future in the future.
Winning the War
It should be noted that since the War on the Future was begun at some unknown point in the future, the war in effect has already been won.
