7th Sense

The 7th Sense is a sorry excuse used in the japanese anime Saint Seiya to explain why the main characters sucked so much and yet managed to beat all the bad guys and save the world. It worked like this:

  • Main character meets bad guy
  • Main character gets beaten to death by bad guy
  • episode ends
  • new episode begins
  • Main character strugges to stand up
  • soft light comes from Main character
  • Main character kills bad guy
  • a brand new bad guys show up, claiming how lame the last bad guy was
  • repeat all until no one watches anymore
